Make preparing for and teaching your online students
Crystal Clear.
A curriculum you can trust, created by a professional ESL teacher just like you! Crystal draws from over 15 years’ live and online ESL teaching experience, including two years teaching preschool and primary students in Japan.
In addition to over 10,000 classes taught in ESL, Crystal is also a QTS certified English teacher in the United Kingdom and English Language specialist. Crystal loves supporting colleagues in their journeys to independent teaching.
Crystal is passionate about creating quality incremental lessons in consultation with the teachers who use them. Please get in touch with feedback and requests, and thanks for being a Crystal Clear teacher!
My purpose-built curricula supports online English language teachers. Use my grab-and-go lesson plans to minimize your prep time and maximize your income, all while delivering beautiful, content-rich, high-quality lessons to your students.
Lessons are carefully assembled to cover every milestone of English language acquisition, from complete beginner through to fluent user of English. I segment the material into manageable units of study, with plenty of built-in interaction, repetition and activities to ensure no student is left behind.
Anyone can create a lesson, but step-by-step, language curricula? Leave that to the professionals! I not only hold an undergraduate degree in English, but am also a qualified secondary school teacher (QTS) specialising in English Language studies. I have taught over 10,000 students to date, including in public and private classrooms in Japan, and 3,000 (and counting) online classes. I continue to use, test and improve the materials on a daily basis and appreciate all feedback about typos.
I am pleased to offer the six levels within the step-by-step Advanced, Kids’ and Phonics Curriculum bundles, which are now available for online delivery.
I also offer a fantastic, interactive course of 50 themed Business English lessons is already on offer!
Special welcome to new addition to the site, Daniel Teacher and IELTS Made Simple and Speak Like a Native, each a course of 20 lessons complete with homework and assessment. I am very open to other complimentary hosting opportunities; if you’re a curriculum developer with some great step-by-step material to share, please get in touch!
Finally, I have lots of updates and course launches planned, so please join my newsletter for exciting launch updates!
Crystal Clear ESL launched with the HUGE goal of offering a digital CORE CURRICULUM of almost step-by-step 700 lessons in January, 2021. It is a labour of love, but admittedly, a work in progress! Here’s what is currently available:
– Level One Phonics: 78 interactive lessons – fully complete
– Level Two: 96 interactive lessons – fully complete
– Level Three: 72 interactive lessons with 3 units to come
– Level Four: 48 interactive lessons with 6 units to come
– Level Five: 72 interactive lessons with 3 units to come
– Level Six: 88 interactive lessons with 1 unit to come
– Level Seven: COMING SOON
– Business English: 50 interactive lessons – fully complete
– IELTS Made Simple: 20 interactive lessons
– Speak Like a Native: 20 interactive lessons
NOTE: Lessons from Level 4 and up are suitable for teens and adults, as well!
Start your students at their comfort level using my fun, interactive diagnostic lesson. Ensure students’ progress with regular, built-in assessments. Not only will the assessments measure your students’ achievement, but they’ll provide regular opportunities to feedback with confidence and in detail to your client, enhancing your professional stature. I am constantly looking to improve and welcome your suggestions for developing assessment tools on the platform.
Not only can you give us a test run, but your students can too! Use my free trial lessons (available on the Home page) and fun diagnostic lesson to get a feel for our online products, before you commit to a subscription. Continue to use them again and again to expertly recruit new students. Professional teachers can additionally use our trial lessons to evaluate students’ levels – they are the perfect placement tool for students new to our course!
Whether you are a casual tutor or professional online teacher, I want my online products to be accessible to everyone. I offer our courses in discrete bundles, so you only pay for those you need. The best part: use the materials for as many students, as many classes and as many times as you like each month, all within one simple subscription (Terms and Conditions apply). A license to teach Crystal Clear ESL material over your teaching platform, e.g. OutSchool, iTalki, etc. for individual commercial purposes is included with every standard membership.
Using my lessons couldn’t be easier! Simply subscribe to the required course, schedule your class over an interactive virtual platform of your choice, open the required lesson on full screen (F11 on PC and Command-Control-F on Mac), screen share and off you go!
My lessons are optimized to integrate seamlessly with the interactive features common to most virtual classrooms, including a blank slide to use as you wish at the end of each lesson.
I teach Crystal Clear ESL lessons myself using Zoom because it has the best interactive functions in the industry – I especially love to ‘give control’ of my mouse to students so that they can grab and drag objects on the slides (when they access using a PC or Mac). Please note interactivity is limited for students on iPads because they don’t have a mouse.
Yes, you can use Classin’s ‘multi-way screen share’ to teach Crystal Clear lessons; however, they have yet to integrate superior interactive functionality when screen sharing.
Can you recommend another low-cost virtual classroom alternative with all the teaching bells and whistles? I’d love to know! Email: info@esl-curriculum.com
In coming months, I will be updating current lessons to include downloadable homework tasks and lesson notes to share with your students. This has been delayed because I am currently prioritising lesson creation, so teachers have lessons to teach on to. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
To protect copyright and maintain the great interactive functionality of the lessons (currently Level One, but eventually all lessons), Crystal Clear ESL lessons are not downloadable. They are easy to teach over any virtual classroom platform that allows screen sharing.
My Kids’ & Phonics Curriculum is now available for online delivery, offering nearly 250 lessons (and growing). I’ll look at developing intermediate and advanced material next.
While a fantastic course of 50 themed Business English lessons is already on offer, look for a dynamic, interactive platform update of these, coming soon!
Special welcome to Daniel Teacher and IELTS Made Simple, a course of 20 lessons complete with homework and assessments. I am very open to other complimentary hosting opportunities; if you’re a curriculum developer with some great step-by-step material to share, please get in touch!

Finally, I plan to start creating the Advanced Curriculum levels five through seven early in 2022, so join my newsletter for exciting launch updates!
Once you have subscribed to the course or bundle that is right for you, use your private portal to teach those lessons as many times as you like, to as many students as you like (Terms and Conditions apply) for the duration of the subscription term, with full independent, commercial licensing included! It is that easy!
There is no commitment! Make changes to or cancel your subscription at any time, ensuring you do so seven days before your payment date to make sure the automatic billing system has sufficient time to amend or deactivate your next payment. Unfortunately changes or cancellations made less than seven days before your payment date will not qualify for a refund.
You can cancel your membership from your profile dashboard or by sending a cancellation email to: info@esl-curriculum.com
How to cancel your membership from your dashboard:
– Log in to your Crystal Clear profile dashboard
– Click Order History
– View Active Subscriptions
– Click Cancel Subscription
To prevent fraud, Stripe does not allow vendors to make changes to teachers’ subscription prices. If you would like to up- or downgrade your subscription, you will need to cancel your original subscription and resubscribe for the more appropriate bundle. I apologise for the extra few minutes this process will take, but I’m here to help if you need any support.
Because of the incremental learning provided within the General Curriculum, it is difficult to precisely pinpoint a unit or lesson number at which your students will progress from one band to the next. Roughly speaking, I suggest the following matches:
pre-A1, Cambridge Starters: Levels One and Two
A1, Cambridge Movers: Levels Three and Four
A2, Cambridge Flyers: Level Four
B1+: Business English
You may screenshot up to 10 images from the Crystal Clear website to share examples of the curriculum with your parents and clients or add to your website, as long as each image contains the Crystal Clear ESL logo.
